N4U Querying Service for Information Retrieval
N4U Querying Services Functionality and Interaction with N4U Services
The Querying Service provides a basic querying mechanism for information retrieval from the N4U Analysis Base. The Querying Service facilitates the N4U users and mainly the N4U services, such as N4U Analysis Service to submit customisable queries for information retrieval from the Analysis Base, for example ADNI datasets related information created on or during a specific time period, datasets or pipeline owned by a given user, and/or the meta-data associated with an image file stored in the Analysis Base.
With this service, a user can also collect a catalogue of both image and files residing in the N4U Grid infrastructure. Other N4U services such as Analysis Service can access the service interfaces exposed by the Querying Service to retrieve information from the Analysis Base. For example, the Analysis Service can find information about an algorithm used in a pipeline and the time a pre-executed pipeline took in the past to complete one particular analysis for the given inputs.
