N4U Analysis Base
Services to Analyse Provenance Model
The N4U Analysis Base is based on a relational model that is designed to index all datasets stored on the N4U Grid infrastructure, algorithms and pipeline definitions along with their associated provenance information. For tracking purposes, the provenance information is linked with images, pipelines, brief user profiles and resulting data.
The N4U Analysis Base is an extension to the neuGRID provenance model, which was re-modelled and significantly extended as per the N4U requirements. From the Analysis Base, a user can collect a pipeline's provenance that could answer complex users' queries e.g. "what was an outcome of a pipeline execution authored by a given user'', ''what has produced results for which input datasets'' and ''at what time were all these activities performed". Such provenance information facilitates the N4U community to review the historical execution of pipelines and can confirm the outcome produced as a result of their analysis.
